Delivering Solutions: An Interim Report of Expert Insights for France’s 2025 AI Action Summit
November 6, 2024
The Future Society, in partnership with the Office of the French Presidency, Sciences Po’s Technology and Global Affairs Innovation Hub, the AI & Society Institute, and the French Digital Council (CNNum), has released interim findings from the expert consultation for France’s 2025 AI Action Summit.
Drawing on insights from 84 experts across six continents, our analysis reveals four emerging shifts in AI governance: toward international coordination, independent verification, inclusive decision-making, and environmental responsibility.
This expert consultation runs parallel to the broader citizen consultation, as part of a comprehensive process to inform the Summit’s agenda. It represents the first time a global AI Summit’s preparations have included such broad stakeholder engagement, from expert insights to citizen perspectives.
Complete findings will be presented at The Athens Roundtable on AI and the Rule of Law on December 9 at the OECD headquarters in Paris, where we will share detailed, actionable deliverables across the Summit’s five key themes: Public Interest AI, Future of Work, Culture and Innovation, Global AI Governance, and Trust in AI.
There’s still time to participate: The expert consultation remains open through November 15, 2024. We particularly seek expertise on implementation protocols, stakeholder coordination, and transition strategies.
